Becoming a member of the Albany Historical Society helps us to maintain our attractions and to fulfill our mission statement to ‘provide leadership and co-ordination in promoting Albany’s heritage’. Your membership allows us to continue preserving our substantial collection of historical items of artefacts, artworks, photographs and archives.

As a member, you are entitled to:

  • Attend monthly members meetings
  • Receive a copy of the quarterly newsletter
  • Have a free entry to the Albany Convict Gaol and Patrick Taylor Cottage
  • Access our Online Member Area, featuring our archive of Society magazines, photographs and articles.

Membership runs from 1st May to 30th April each year and is subject to committee approval.

Current membership fees are:

  • Single membership – $15.00
  • Couple membership – $20.00
  • Family membership – $30.00
  • Corporate membership – $50.00

Founded in 1962, Albany Historical Society is a non-profit organisation, staffed entirely by volunteers. We are dedicated to preserving Albany’s unique history and managing two of Albany’s most historic buildings.
